DROP IN TO UXBRIDGE COLLEGE TO FIND WORK LIFE BALANCE

Uxbridge College is urging skilled professionals to attend a drop in recruitment event on the 7th July, to find out more about how their knowledge could be used to further their careers and boost their incomes.

The informal event will offer the chance for individuals currently working or trained in a range of vocations to get information about the part-time lecturing and assessing roles available at Uxbridge College.

Run by Protocol National, the largest single provider of staff education services to the Further Education sector in the UK, the event is designed to show just how many varied opportunities exist in Further Education and demonstrate how they can easily and quickly change your work/life balance, as well as offer a rewarding new career.

Steve Ball, Protocol National’s Client Development Manager, explained, “People are often surprised at the number and scale of the options available in Further Education colleges - skills as varied as engineering, beauty and IT could all open the door to a new career or help move your current role in a different direction.

“In a challenging job market such as we have at the moment, events such as these are an excellent way for individuals to look at the alternatives that are out there and find out more about their options.”

Steve added, “Anyone currently working in a vocational career has the knowledge and ability to teach part time in a Further Education college. Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, you don’t necessarily need to have a background in teaching. Your existing skills and knowledge are what’s important - we can help you obtain the required teaching qualifications at a later stage.”

The event is being held on Wednesday 7th, July between 12.30pm to 7.00pm at the Main Campus at Uxbridge College, Park Road, Uxbridge, UB8 1NQ.
