FREE ASSESSOR TRAINING AT WEST THAMES COLLEGE FOR SKILLED PROFESSIONALS
Opportunities for skilled professionals to boost their income and use their skills differently as an NVQ assessor are available at West Thames College. As demand for workers to gain NVQs in certain business sectors soars, the resulting demand for part-time NVQ assessors has never been greater.
Drop in sessions at the College are being held on the 6th and 7th May to allow interested individuals to find out more about the opportunities on offer including the chance to take an A1 assessing award at no cost, or upgrade old style ‘D unit ’ assessing awards which many people may have gained early in their careers.
Organised by Protocol National, a company that specialises in providing lecturers NVQ assessors to over 250 Further Education colleges nationwide, the event will give further details on the role and benefits of working as an assessor.
Business Development Manager Steve Ball explained, “Assessors are fundamental in driving work-based learning – without them those working towards NVQs cannot complete their training. We need people with experience in a whole range of sectors. In particular early years, management, care and ITQ, but anyone interested in assessing should come along to find out more.”

Working part time as an assessor provides a large degree of flexibility, allowing professionals to fit the work around their current job or family commitments, while maintaining a good work-life balance.
Steve added, “Not only is the work flexible and rewarding, but it can also provide a good income boost and the chance to take your career in a different direction.
Some full time Assessors can earn up to £50,000.”
The event is being held at West Thames College, London Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 4HS on 6th and 7th May. There will be two sessions on each day, from 12.00pm – 2.30pm and from 5.00pm -7.30pm.
