So You Want to Be A Senior Leader?

DATE: Tuesday 24th January 2012 (One Day Seminar)
Event code: CLC132
VENUE: Protocol National, Castle Marina Road, Nottingham NG7 1TN

Due to its popularity, we are pleased to announce that we will be running our 'So You Want to Be a Senior Leader?' masterclass again this academic year.

Who Should Attend
A one-day masterclass with Peter Daley and Tara Ali for aspiring senior managers in the college sector.

Overview
A practically-focused event offering tips and guidance for those looking to secure a senior leadership or Principal post. The day will allow delegates to take stock of their skills and strengths and to consider which kinds of posts might be suitable. There will be practical guidance on making applications and approaching selection processes. There will also be an opportunity for delegates to undertake a Brain Mapping exercise and to discuss the implications of psychometric profiling within a selection process.

Please secure your place at least two weeks prior to the event to ensure you receive a full Brain Map as part of the event. Brain Maps will need to be completed online prior to the event. Details of which will be emailed to delegates after booking.

Brain Mapping Within Selection
The 21st century leader will need to be a whole-brain leader, a leader who understands the different brain preferences of his team and leads individuals in a way that would inspire them most. The starting point of this challenging (but exciting) journey is understanding how your brain works. The brain map gives insight into an individual’s leadership style, communication; strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making and how these would impact on those you lead. It also helps you to understand the skills you would need in a complementary team.
