This one day event is ideal for college managers responsible for generating or assuring the ALS claim. Administrators involved in the recording of ALS details and any staff involved in ensuring the compliance of College systems.

Overview
Additional Learner Support is probably one of the most complicated areas within the current funding methodology. The aim of this seminar is to inform delegates how to maximise their ALS claim and ensure that systems are in place to uphold the claim during the allocations process and also through audit.

• An introduction to ALS funding principles;
• The principles behind the calculation of the hourly rates for Teaching, Administration and Support Staff;
• Small group size costs;
• Equipment and resource costs;
• Systems and procedures that need to be in place to substantiate the claim;
• Evidencing and Maximising the claim;
• Principles of a full reconciliation.
