City College Plymouth is a fast-moving and highly ambitious College, well positioned on a path of improving performance supported by an excellent financial profile. It serves over 20,000 learners with an annual turnover of £37m.
As it appoints a new Principal, the College is determined to build on current achievements and is uncompromising in its intention to only appoint an exceptional individual who can take the College to the next level of performance and impact.
We are looking for a Principal who will inspire and lead the College towards ‘outstanding’. At the same time, the Principal will develop the College’s contribution to positive change in Plymouth and the South West region. Most significantly, the Principal will contribute to an enlarged profile in regard to the College’s contribution to Plymouth’s priorities. In particular, the College intends to make a pivotal contribution to reducing inequality, providing opportunity and raising aspirations, embracing diversity and stimulating economic growth.
City College Plymouth will only appoint an individual with proven ability for strategic acumen, the ability to forge partnerships, develop high credibility with stakeholders and demonstrate communication and inter-personal skills of the highest order.
