Supporting Charities across the UK

As well as our continued support to the education sector, Protocol National and its employees are also very proud to be supporters of several charities both locally and across the UK. Here is a small selection of the charities we have supported.

Nottingham Children's HospitalCatherine Hutchins and Wayne Dewis from Protocol National present the cheque to Angela Horsley, Lead Nurse, and Rachel Barker, Ward Sister, at Nottingham Children?s Hospital.

Each week, Protocol National employees pay to participate in a casual dress day. This year's proceeds have been donated to the Nottingham Children's Hospital and will have a very positive effect on the lives of the children who stay there.

Catherine Lang, Charity Administrator for Nottingham University Hospitals Charity said '(Protocol National's) hard work represents your appreciation for the care we offer our patients and is gratifying when members of our community show how much the hospital means to them.'

Great Britain Deaf Football Team Team GB celebrate their 2-1 victory over Japan at the 2009 Deaflympics

Last September, the Great Britain Deaf Football Team took part in the 'Deaflympics' in Taipei, Taiwan, with the support of sponsorship provided by Protocol National and North Hertfordshire College. The Deaflympics is a major international sporting event that takes place every four years. Uniquely, it provides deaf sportsmen and women with the chance to participate in a wide range of activities, including athletics and football, on a world stage where they can perform to the best of their ability against the world's finest.

Sign language is a vital element of the Deaflympics and the GB team's manager and coach, Phillip Gardner, is a specialist in teaching this skill. In addition to his team responsibilities, Phillip is a tutor at the College working through Protocol National to teach sign language to students. Phil Harrison, Chief Executive of Protocol National, said, 'Phillip is an outstanding tutor and there could be no better ambassador, manager, and trainer for team GB. We were pleased to have been able to offer our support to him and the team as they head to Taipei.'
